“Some adventures are planned. Others happen when you finally decide it’s time to go.”
The Adventure Trail Series brings together a collection of *stories, designs, and experiences inspired by the places we go, the trails we ride, and the moments that make getting off the pavement worth it. Each collection below tells its own story—different adventures, different destinations, and different reasons to keep exploring. Together, they capture the people, places, and experiences that define the Xcursion Offroad way of getting out there.
For years, they had talked about getting out there and making the trip happen. Work, schedules, and everyday life always seemed to find a way to push the adventure a little further down the road. This time, they decided they were done waiting.
They loaded up their UTV and headed into the mountains, following a rugged trail that saw little traffic. The farther they went, the more the familiar world disappeared behind them. Eventually, they reached basecamp at 5,201 feet—the trailhead and the point where their rig would stay behind.
From there, the adventure changed. Packs went on their backs, boots hit the trail, and they set out on foot with 79 feet still to climb before reaching 5,280—the one-mile mark. It wasn't the finish line. It was where the next part of the Xcursion began.
One step at a time, they headed up the trail, leaving 5,201 behind and setting their sights on 5,280 and beyond. The first mile was no longer something to measure from the road—it was something to experience.
One mile. 5,280 feet. A trail ahead, a trail behind, and an Xcursion just getting started.
A secluded lake. No traffic. No cell service. No distractions.
They turned off the main road, followed the trail until the pavement was long behind them, and found a place where the outside world seemed to disappear.
Just a few good friends, a couple of days worth of offroad gear, and a quiet stretch of water surrounded by trees and mountains. They set up camp beside the lake, built a fire, and settled into the kind of pace that only happens when there’s nowhere else you need to be.
The days were spent fishing, exploring the trails, and seeing what was around the next bend. Evenings meant dinner around the fire, baked potatoes cooked in foil, steaks done just right, and stories that got better as the night went on, and stars bright enough to wonder why you don't look up at night more often.
For a few days, the outside world could wait. Out here, the only schedule was daylight, the weather, and whatever adventure came next.
Every year, the little town of Berlin, New Hampshire comes alive as teams gather for the challenge ahead. For a few days, the quiet mountain town takes on a whole different rhythm as trailers roll in, campsites fill up, and UTVs and ATVs seem to arrive from every direction.
The streets are filled with riders catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and talking about the trails they're planning to ride. Machines line up at the starting points, engines fire, and the sound of off-road tires heading toward the mountains becomes the soundtrack of the weekend.
Then it's time to ride. Teams head for the mountain, following rugged trails and taking on whatever the day puts in front of them. The goal is simple: make it to the summit, take in the view, and find your way back down.
By the time the rides are over, the town comes alive again. Riders gather to swap stories, compare the day's adventures, and celebrate another year of getting out there and putting some miles behind them. Some came for the challenge, some came for the trails, and some came simply to be part of it.
Because sometimes the best part of an adventure isn't just reaching the summit. It's the people, the machines, and the stories that come together along the way.
It’s the last night of vacation.
Tomorrow, everyone heads home, back to work and the routines waiting for them. So there’s only one thing left to do—take one more ride.
As the sun drops behind the trees, the trail gets quiet and the sky begins to fade. Nobody wants the ride to end, but today’s memories are logged—and tomorrow’s adventure is on the calendar.
Two friends, fresh out of high school, set out on the adventure they'd been talking about for years before heading off to college.
They spend their days fishing, hiking, exploring the mountains, and making camp beside the lake. The air is crisp, the nights are cool, and with the mountains reflected across the water, it feels like the beginning of something bigger.
They both know that college could take them in different directions. New places, new people, new routines—and maybe less time together. For now, though, none of that matters. They have the lake, the mountains, a few days ahead of them, and one more adventure to share.
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones that mark the beginning of a new chapter—and remind you who you want to take the next one with.
